Desiree Heslop you must know as Princess, she was born in england in 1961 and to this day she leaves great reggae icons for us.

Princess true foray into music was encouraged by her Jamaican born brother Donovan (co-founder of The International Reggae Train), who was visiting during his summer vacation from the American International School of Dusseldorf, Germany.

Initially, princess wanted to pursue a career in law, but in her freshman year of college, Princess had the opportunity to sing backing vocals on a punk rock track. Princess continued doing backing vocals for a few years until her first big break arrived.

Who knew that the girl who wanted to study law would become a great woman with hit songs in the mid-1980s? His hit “Say I’m Your Number One”, reached the UK Top Ten in 1985.
